happy birthday josef frank

Today's Google logo is beautiful! Yet, we here in the Creative Cube were all surprised to find that it is celebrating the 125th birthday of a designer we've never heard of. I'm not sure how we've missed Josef Frank because his designs are stunning ... and prolific! These are just a few of his many textile designs.

I think I have admired his work via Anthropologie furniture before today.

Along with discovering Josef Frank, I learned that SEK is a currency called Swedish Krona (and that Josef Frank's work is not cheap!) and that some of his fabrics are featured in my favorite scene of Mamma Mia!
