My sisters and I are excited to see Jane Eyre this weekend! Isn't this poster beautiful? I love how the designer used the negative space of her dress. I'm so glad that good design is finding it's way back into movie posters.
Have you seen the trailer? Having read the book so recently, my sisters and I are a little wary that the film won't be an accurate adaption. In fact, we aren't sure how anyone could adapt such an intricate story onto the screen in two hours. But I'm willing to be optimistic until I've seen it. (I thought the same thing about the 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice and they went as far as to improve on the original!)
Have you read the book? Will you see the film? I'd love to hear what you think!

This is a really nice poster. The ultra-modern looking font looks good here (though it feels sort of anachronistic with the nature of the story.)
ReplyDeleteI read Jane Eyre in high school and disliked it, but your (and your sisters') appreciation for it has convinced me that I need to give it another shot. You should post a review of the movie once you've seen it, I'm curious how it turns out.
