My sister brought back a box of Laduree macaroons for me from Paris after I mentioned them here. I fully intended to take pictures, but we ate them the moment we saw them. We cut them up in quarters and tried every kind. They were wonderful. I've always wanted to eat a macaroon (yes, they were my first try) and "eat a macaroon from Laduree" was on my life to do list.

Is it bad that my only macaroon experience was with the best macaroons in the world? Will I ever be able to eat non-Laduree macaroons? Hm ... must put that question to the test.
