I've admired Katie Vernon's illustrations for a while, but I was so excited to see the new fall additions to her shop, Chipmunk Cheeks. Including a moose! This is one wish-list item I may have to think seriously about ... I love moose ... and flowers.

colors from bethany

birthday necklace

My friend Bethany made this beautiful necklace for my birthday. She saw this color wheel necklace on my "wish list" and decided to make her own version. I love it ten times more! She made up the design and even used small pieces of actual semi-precious stones (like my favorite, emeralds!). I just had to show you how amazing she is here!

Thank you Bethany! It's my the most beautiful piece of jewelry.

sewn book covers

Lauraland Design just sent me the link to these beautiful sewn book covers by Julian Tamaki. These covers will be realsed as a part of the Penguin Threads Deluxe Classics. How I love Penguin Classics (see how much here and here)! Julian must be a very patient person. I especially love how she is taking illustration into a new realm and isn't scared to try something new (and do an incredible job with it!).

A little bit of the process. I love how everything (even the Penguin logo) is sewn.

I recently discovered Freshy Fig, a vintage jewelry shop on etsy. Their original pieces really stand out from similar shops.
